We love shouting out our fans here at Camella’s Kitchen, and today we’re so pumped to share who’s got the sauce. We took a moment to speak with Ani T. to find out how this chica with Panamanian roots embraces #BeCamellaSaucy. Let’s just say that we are so amazed by her passion and drive! Ani is versed in the ways of J-Sette and has turned her love of dance fitness into her own venture. She got real with us about what it took to pivot during the coronavirus pandemic.

I'm the co-owner of Glow Girl Dance Fitness. Our goal is to make dance and fitness accessible and approachable to anyone who wants to try! When covid hit, my partner and I had just found our rhythm. We found a dance studio to lease out of and then we had to completely shift our MO because we, of course, couldn't host large gatherings. We had to adjust for a life post-covid and as it's been for everyone; it was hard. Since then we've done really well at keeping ourselves motivated and we've hit a new stride and momentum with virtual classes. The future is bright for us and all other Black-owned businesses.

I'm a fan of the owners behind the brand. I relate to the immigrant narrative as my mom and I are also immigrants from Panama. How cool is it that you can be hundreds of miles away from your homeland and still be able to share that part of you with where you currently are? I think it's fantastic what the ladies [of Camella’s Kitchen] are doing and I'm inspired by them every day. My experience with them has been nothing short of spectacular and the products are amazing!

We’re super inspired by Ani and her work with Glow Girl Dance Fitness. She keeps us fit – literally!

At Camella’s Kitchen we love it when our saucy fans share their experience with us! Had a fire experience with us? Contact us to find out how to get featured.
