New Flavor Alert: Try Our Limited Edition Spicy Apple Chutney
It’s fall and we’re so excited to announce that we’re launching a new flavor to go with the season! You’ve had our Spicy Mango Chutney – now try our Spicy Apple Chutney! It’s made with 100% real apple and filled with delicious spices that will make you feel really nice. Don’t let its fruity nature fool you though. This is a Caribbean style chutney (with a heavy East Indian influence) so it’s one fine savory sauce. It’s so delicious, you may just eat it out the jar!
If you’re a fan of our chutney, we recommend checking out our Spicy Chutney Duo. You’ll get our new Spicy Apple Chutney along with one of our popular favorites – our Spicy Mango Chutney! Or you can dive right into all of our fall flavors and get our Fall Harvest Box.
How to Use
At its most basic, a chutney is simply a condiment that goes well with everything. Use as you would any hot sauce – it adds a nice flavor and is a great topping for any snack or dish that you’d like to eat. It’s perfect for savory dishes that include meat, vegetables and fish. We highly recommend as a pairing with curries. As our chutney is a bit more on the fruity side, you can also get creative with it and add in to desserts. Dontmissmyplate made some delicious Spicy Apple Muffins using them. See below for the recipe. You can get creative too. How It’s Sourced
We aim to source as locally as possible from farms in the DC metro area. This year, we’re lucky to have sourced our scotch bonnet peppers from Tallawah Farms based in Maryland’s Eastern Shore. We’re grateful to partner with this Black-owned farm to move the needle on bolstering the local green economy.
Camella’s Kitchen is run by two ladies from Trinidad and Tobago. Based out of Prince George’s County, Maryland, we’re living our sauciest lives by bringing our bold Caribbean flavors to you! How will you #BeCamellaSaucy? Tell us on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube!
