The Texas Forever Collection – Making Community Connections Through Local Angel Co.
Local Angel Co. is at it again. For those of you who have been following us at Camella’s Kitchen, many of you already know of our involvement on the platform that aims to shore up community wealth and health through their online marketplace. While the platform is geared towards serving local nonprofits in the Washington, DC metro area (DMV), they are introducing a new initiative for the month of April.
Due to the recent unprecedented winter storm that affected Texas, many of the communities in the area are still experiencing lingering effects. In an effort to give a boost to the recovery, Local Angel Co. will be partnering with businesses in the DMV to help raise funds for local Texas nonprofits during the month of April by offering the Texas Forever Collection.
Keeping in line with our vision, our contribution to the Collection will benefit Lucille’s 1913. Based in Houston, the nonprofit aims to deliver nutritious meals to food insecure communities in the Houston area. So, for the month of April, 50% of the proceeds from our Everything But The BBQ (Spice Set) will be donated to help this organization further their mission.
The Everything But The BBQ (Spice Set) is a great addition for your next barbecue! It has two key flavors that will help your foods to standout at your next cookout. The only thing it doesn’t come with is the BBQ sauce – we’ll leave that selection up to you! The set comes with our newest flavors: our Spicy Herb Blend (Caribbean green seasoning) and our Trini Roasted Garlic Sauce. The herb blend makes for a tasty marinade that will add a nice bit of flavor and heat to your meats and vegetables, while our vegan garlic sauce is a can’t do with condiment. Its mild and tangy flavor works just as well on salads and other vegetables, as it does on fries, burgers, and steaks. Best of all, these products are all-natural and can last for a long time – if you can resist using them.
If you’re wondering what else in included in the Texas Forever Collection, be sure to check out the full list of offerings on the Local Angel Co. website starting in April.
